Susie,

I fell on the pool deck two weeks after my right hip resurfacing. Crutches

do not do well on a wet pool deck! Went down on my left side. Fell three

days post-op after my left hip, in the hospital. Leg gave out, went down

on my right side with the left leg flopped over the top of the right (let

me tell you how much faith I have in these NOT dislocating!). Fell at home

a couple of days after release from the hospital. Thought I could get out

of bed on my own, turn, and get back in. KABOOM!!! Straight down on my

right knee (just over one month post-op), left leg all bent askew, and

PAIN!!!!!!!!! Not so much from the hips, but from the leg muscles that

were frantically cramping every which way they could figure out to. After

several minutes, finally got me back in bed. Hips were solid, no lasting

damage done. I don't remember clunking a lot after, but there is a lot I

don't remember after all those drugs...
