Kerlan Jobe clinic- Not great news ;(

Hi everyone~~

I have crappie news.

Not happy about this at all but I have to face facts.

Shoulder may have to have surgery ASAP as I keep injuring it.

Last week again just during a simple exam with my pain specialist, shoulder

popped out backwards when I laid back on the table. I thought he was going to

come unglued till I could not put it back then I almost came unglued. He had

to put me under twilight to pop it back. (good thing I was with a gasser I

guess! ) I ended up having to have my parents come get me from doctors apt and

stayed at there place for a day as I could not drive myself.

The anteromedial humerus has large cortical defect and it is dislocating

posteriorly, which I know understand, is rare and in less than 2% of all

dislocations. Apparently the anterior labrum tear is significant with pre labral

cyst

that is huge. The acromioclavicular joint is shot, bone on bone and now

deformed with the acromion is down-sloping due to the degeneration.

So ... the whole friggen joint is shot and it hurts like the dickens!

I think they should just take the whole shoulder off and start over!

Anyone got a spare shoulder that they care to lend?

I have an apt with the lead upper extremity guy on Monday.

My girlfriend is driving me. Prayers to keep me out of the hospital till the

conference would be surly appreciated.
