Guest guest
..I'm surprised you didn't mention Stieg Larsson. It was strange but as much as I looked forward to the trilogy, I had a hard time reading them. At times it was like pulling teeth. I just looked on Amazon and it doesn't appear Bodstrom is in English. Have you heard./read any of Karin Fossum's Inspector Sejer's mysteries? I also like Arnaldur Indridason. Hmm neither are Swedish tho so any none true Swedish whodunit authors? And thanks for reminding me of Carol O'Connell. I have read a couple of her Mallory books but I'm sure there are several I've not even seen ... hugs, Cait Re: What's everyone reading? Hmm. Lets see. Right now I am reading a biography/novel about a missionary couple, it's written by a grand daughter to the missionary couple, and a daughter to their, at the time, young son. She is also a great novelist, with several acclaimed novels published before, so she knows how to do a good work with it. It's called (if I translate the title) "My father was the leopard boy". But, I don't think it's translated into English (possibly into German, though), and it wasn't quite the kind of book you asked for. After this on my reading list comes a couple of crime novels by the former Swedish Minister of Justice, Bodström. As far as crime fiction go, they are a good read, and he usually make the government part of the plot somehow, which is funny, and a bit interesting, when it's written by a former member of the government. Not sure that his books are translated to English either, but well worth a read if you'd find them. I am not a big reader of true crime, but I do read crime fiction quite a lot. And one author I'd really recommend, who writes in English non the less, is Carol O'Connell. Do look her up! love /Reb >> .Anyone reading anything really good? My reserve on Jaycee Duguard's book is ready so hopefully I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow. All I have here is Ann Coulter's Demonic and I'm not in the mood to read that right now. Any suggestions especially true crime/detective genres ... hugs, Cait>
