My question is i have this painful feeling in my neck/throat. It;s not like a sore throat when you're sick. When they were doing the procedure i could feel him threading something through a vein or something in my throat. It's like a pressure feeling and at first it wasn't that bad but it's more and more uncomfortable not quite really painful yet and gets worse when i lay down. I go to see the doctor on wednesday but i just wanted to check with someone whose been through it. It's likely nothing to do with a sore throat, but the " threading " they did during the procedure. It should be something that will go away, but let that be the doctor's call. It's could easily be that the vessel through which they threaded their equipment, actually bruised the inside of your blood vessel. And, in the average person, it either wouldn't bruise or would simply heal quickly & go away & they might not even be aware of it. But unfortunately, we are not the " average person, " which I'm sure you'll relay to your Doc. & perhaps it did bruise & instead of going away, it has just become more bruised, just like a black & blue mark would develop within a couple of days after the initial injury. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " I go to see the doctor on wednesday but i just wanted to check with someone whose been through it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yes, many of us have similar procedures & are medical people ourselves (yes I'm another one of the RN's) & it's great that we can share so much with each other & it's not uncommon for us to be able to give each other more valuable info than we can get anywhere else, but we really shouldn't be giving out medical advice & though someone may be able to share their experience with you, which would be nice, I think a " better safe then sorry " phone call to your doctor couldn't hurt & would be wise for you, at this point. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good luck, feel better,

Guest guest
, I'm glad you had the pacemaker inserted. The feeling in your throat may be from swelling or a hematoma from the Jugular vein insertion site, it's a vein in the neck that goes to the right side of the heart where they put in the pacer wires. Good Luck, Best Wishes! S. pacemaker question > Hi guys, > > I know there's someone on this list with a pacemaker, but typical me can't remember who it is.
