Regarding Infections and Antibiotics

I wonder if anybody can shed some light on the " infection " factor

that we need to be careful of..... I know we need to take a round of

antibiotics for dental visits, but what else do we need to be

mindful of?

I recently had an ingrown toenail that I just took care of myself -- it

was a bit swollen and sore for a couple of days, then it healed up

-- didn't occur to me till later that I should possibly have taken a

round of antibiotics.

Now I'm wondering about the bacteria traveling to the implant -

maybe I'm just being paranoid?
