Guest guest
Before I ask yet another question of you knowledgeable people I would like to say a big thank you for all the advice and support you have given me. I know I would'nt have had the courage to go ahead with my op and the peace of mind to get through these last three weeks. Grovelling over now can I ask another question - is there a limit I wonder!!! When is it advisable to go on to one crutch? I am 3 wekks post op and am able to walk with one crutch but my family say I limp more when doing so. Should I therefore stick to two for a little while longer. Thanks Cheryl x

Then keep the one until you can walk with a cane without a limp. Then keep the cane until you finally ditch the limp completely. The brain and muscles need to re-learn (or in my case needed to learn for the first time) how to walk properly again. Trying to rush the process will only slow you down.
