I ended up back at the hospital this morning as my wrist has

continued to be very painful, much more so than normal. I saw the ER

consultant who was very concerned about the amount swelling, pain

and bruising I have - you'd think for all the world I'd fallen onto

it. We did some follow up x-rays, but because of the about of soft

tissue damage it's still not clear how much damage I've done to the

Scaphoid. As a result the consultant has put me in a plaster of

Paris cast and wants to check me again on Thursday. Chances are I

will end up seeing Mac about this though and I will probably be sent

to Orthopaedics and Mac wont let anyone else see me these days. I'm

just hoping that I haven't done too much damage as I could really do

without long haul plaster or worst still more surgery.

Oh well, at least it feels a little more comfortable in the cast

now, the only problem is the weight of the POP is pulling on my poor

little shoulder - lol, life is never simple is it? I promise to let

you know how things go on Thursday - I'm rather naively hoping they

will take the plaster off as I'm at my cousin's wedding on Saturday!

I'm going to look very stylish crutches, in knee splints, shoulder

splint and plaster cast...maybe I could start a whole new fashion

trend? NHS orthotics will be the must have accessory this season!

Take care everyone and please know I'm thinking of you all.

Love and hugs....Jo
