Guest guest
Kurt, If you email Mr. Treacy's secretary, , she will send you a free video not only of a resurface operation, but of the history of resurfacing and a lot, lot more great information, all from McMinn, who developed the technique. If you're in the states, make sure you ask for the video that's compatable with our videos over here, because England's are not, I discovered. Treacy's email is TREACYHIP@.... The website of Bill Philllips is www.bodyforlife.com. It's a pretty good training system, I think, but one thing he didn't mention is stretching, which is just as important as cardio and weight training. Maybe he talks about it in his book. Also he doesn't include some of the exercises I like to do for injury prevention like external and internal shoulder rotation to help prevent rotater cuff problems. I have a book I really like put out by the American Physical Therapy Association called 'Book of Body Maintenance and Repair'. I got it from Hamilton discount books. It has hundreds of great stretches and strengthening exercises to choose from for all parts of the body, so you can exercise away and not get bored. I did like the Bill system as far as days of week and numbers of reps for each body part. For someone just starting it's easy to follow and not too extreme, especially if you take it slow and build up gradually. Best, Heidi _________________________________________________________________ Stop worrying about overloading your inbox - get MSN Hotmail Extra Storage! http://join.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200362ave/direct/01/
