Guest guest
Hi Lari was good to hear from you again. Now at 3 and a half month, I am feeling better but I still have pain: I cannot get passed the 5 blocks limit walk and that is with a cane ( I can walk about 3 blocks with no cane and even that depends on days); I don't have too much pain at night but I often wake up with ache in the hip and groin. The most sensitive is the groin and any stretch or movement slightly more than what I can take will give pain in the groin. Me too I have sometimes those scary thoughts about AVN (or infection depending on the days!) but there is nothing to do at this time since it seems too early to know anything. I also have lots of " clunking/thump/move " in the hip. Also I don't have a surgeon here yet to do follow up on me: I tried one who just started to do resurf. in Vancouver (Canada) but he said he will not do follow up on a procedure he did not do! so I feel a bit lost; I am trying another one but we will see what he says. I hope you are improving though. Sunita RBHR January 6/04 De Smet
Guest guest
Hi, Sunita, So nice to re-connect with you. I'd posted to you several weeks ago, but perhaps you missed it. Interesting to hear that you are experiencing similar sensations to what I am. I wonder what the story is, Sunita, because this scenario is wearing very thin on me. If I felt a little better each day, I'd have faith, but I just don't feel progress coming out of the hip joint. Everything else seems to healing the way it should, but the pain is very intense at the joint itself and behind the incision. I'm so much worse now than when I went in. I see my doc on Monday, as I mentioned in my previous message. Let's see what he says; probably won't be anything earthshattering. It's probably time for another opinion, although he did tell me he's discussed my case with his colleagues. Today, I took my kids to the pool at the sports club we belong to. I took it very, very easy, and it felt wonderful to be in water again. I did not overdo it, and felt ok for awhile, but now it's starting to hurt! I don't know what the magic formula is, but it's nice to hear from you all the same. Keep in touch! Lari > Hi Lari > was good to hear from you again.
