The Narcissistic doctor would fall into the Paternalistic model according to

the other articles I read. The Paternalistic doctor has the " god complex "

and feels he knows what is best for the patient, so it is best if the

patient just does what he is told. The Paternalistic doctor-patient model

was actually the norm for many years, but that's changing (THANKFULLY!) As

more patients demand better care and more shared communication, the models

of the doctor-patient relationship are shifting to a more open dialogue.

But there are still a lot of paternalistic old-school docs out there!
