" Rainbows Of Fall

In Autumn when the leaves turn brown

And red and gold, they all fall down.To paint a picture, oh so rare!

I know that God is there...

To mastermind His ebb and flow;To stage His wondrous Autumn show,To brush His skies with molten gold;I watch His art unfold.

No grander sight could I behold:These leaves of brown and red and gold. But Winter bodes its icy chillsUpon the snow-clad hills.

In time the land, a living scene,Comes bursting forth in savage green; And I confront the season's thieves

That took my Autumn leaves.

But soon softness in the air!God paints a picture, oh so rareOf Autumn leaves that all turn brownAnd red and gold as they fall down.

~~By Henry W. Gurley. ~~

The air turns cool, the leaves turn brown,A change is taking place,And everywhere the signs appearOf Fall's approaching face.

The birds begin their southward flightThat takes them far away,And in their plaintive song and cryA fond good-bye they say.

A season dies, a new one's bornLike night gives way to day.Such is the wondrous work of GodIn His own chosen way.

~~By Harold F. Mohn. ~~

A stroll through the woods, a mountain hike, and a nap on the beach, in such encounters with nature we often find peace. There's just something about the leaves, rocks, and sand that makes us feel at home in this world. They release us from the humdrum of our busy lives and bring us back to the basics of life.

How glorious, Anne!Wish we had color. There is virtually nothing here, it's so sad. It's as if we will go right from summer into winter. It has happened in the past, and it's no fun! :o(I have heard it is supposed to be a brutal winter; sure don't need it after last year's. Hasanyone else heard about this winter in their area?love to all,KateTo: MSers Life egroup <MSersLife >Sent: Saturday, November 5, 2011 3:03 PMSubject: RAINBOWS OF FALL

the train tracks look like traveling west from Washington, Mo to Hermann, Mo on the south side of the river

the mill race I know with the water fall is a mural - I saw it in a doctors office

the reflectsions remind me of Lake Barkley just south of the Kentucky - Tennessee line - 45 minutes from Fort

we didn't have much color this year

Theresa's movie will have to film in Ohio to get the color they need - Michigan is already leafless and the snow is about to fly
