Guest guest
I knew about the acupuncture/diagnostic points (my chiro told me long before I knew anything about fibro) however, I never thought about it the realm of an energy imbalance. I'm stuck on muscular, fascial and skeletal systems. The diagnostic points are also at the muscle insertion points? Guess that means it's up to us to educate ourselves and the doctors, one at a time. ----------- Interesting that your chiro acknowledged that the diagnostic points are in fact acupuncture points since most chiros (let alone most " real " doctors) don't even acknowledge that acupuncture points even exist. One of the main theories/hypothesies I am working on this summer is that many of the chronic, particularly auto-immune type, disorders are in fact a function of energetic imbalances. If true, then effective treatment requires addressing the energetic components. Again, it is just a theory of mine at this point but I have not had anything happen so far in testing it that causes me to think it is wrong. As far as being at the muscle origin/insertion points, I have not looked at it that way but can say that most of them would not be - they would be in the muscle belly. Regarding your comment about educating doctors one at a time, my personal feeling is that, since most of them either won't listen or don't want to know, I will spend my time educating patients instead. I figure if I can educate enough patients there might be a chance of having some of it sink in with the doctors over time.

Your theory would support why so many fo the chronic illnessess seem to appear after a physcial or emotional stress. > > Regarding your comment about educating doctors one at a time, my > personal feeling is that, since most of them either won't listen or > don't want to know, I will spend my time educating patients > instead. That'll work I'm working at educating one new doctor now and in a couple weeks I get to start on a pt and the ped. I do find that I get much better treatment when I know what's going on and can clue the health provider in.
