Guest guest
I have a handicapped room reserved and will be staying alone(Wednesday pm-Sunday am). has classes both summer sessions, and Dale can't get away from work. I'll be happy to share, and you can put the hotel cost toward travel/conference costs. I know how much I look forward to the conference, and how I felt about possibly missing this year. If you're interested, please email me at momonwheels@..., and I'll send you my phone number..or call you..and we'll set it up. 's right..the $99 room rate was gone back in June..it's$149 I think now. If one of our group even gets it. Better to let one of those organizing things know what your confirmation number is, and see if someone can contact you about taking over your reservation. You can double check on the cancellation policy, but I wrote down 24hrs..they'll probably let you transfer the rate to another person without any fuss if you have names, dates and card numbers all ready and do it in one phone call. I know you've heard from others by now, lol..my feelings won't be hurt if you stay with someone else. I just really want to see you there! Guest guest
Everyone~~ I called today just to check and be sure about the rooms available and the rate increase. As of this morning. They in fact have opened up some rooms for conference attendees but the rate is now $135.00 per double occupancy not the original $99.00. When I asked why the rate increase they said that the rate " time frame " had run out and they renegotiated another block of rooms for the up'ed rate to $135.00. The room rate would be $189.00 if you are not attending the conference. I have a personal opinion about this but it is, I am sure, not wanted or warranted at this time. I dealt with hotels so much in my prior professional life giving lectures and coordinating conferences from numbers of 20 to 22,000 attendees including multiple sites via satellite link ups. I grew to despise the process of conventions and such. I encountered time after time. nothing but rip-off's by the hotel just because they could! There is no reason to up the rate except that they can! If you are planning on coming this late in the process and trying to get a room be sure to tell them that you know there is a new block of rooms and the rate is $135.00. Debbi Re Conference room!! !!.. I have a handicapped room reserved and will be staying alone(Wednesday pm-Sunday am). has classes both summer sessions, and Dale can't get away from work.
