I havent worn earing in a good 5 years! Well yesterday I saw the

cutest set of earnings at the mall and I bought them. I came home

and my mom basically laughed because she was sure that I wouldnt be

able to get them in. They went in instantly! No restriction at

all. I know some of my friends have to 'poke' through a thin layer

of skin covering the hole if its been a few days!! I was fine after

5 years! Skin isnt even aggrevated about having something 'new' in

them. Could my piercings not growing over be a factor of EDS?

Thanks in advance :)

They aren't supposed to close if you wore earrings consistently for the

early years of having the piercing. The ones I got when I was 9 never

closed up. The ones I got when I was 16 are almost completely closed up.

The difference is that I wore earrings all the time in the original holes

and only occasionally in the second set.

I've always been a once in a while, pieced earring wearer. In the beginning,

maybe a month, then went a year or so with nothing, then just every once in a

while. Could be nothing... Could be another silly, weird connection.

I have the same thing; after years of not wearing them. Another thing I have

noticed is at this point I am not able to wear anything but silver; and even

then - the posts make my ears too cold to leave in for long.
