Guest guest
I just turned 60 and was feeling a little bummed about it. Then my niece told me '60 is the new 30' lol I hope your mom-in-law is doing great! When I first started needing a cane I didn't really need it all the time. I found a purple flowered folding cane! That way I could carry it in my purse and pull it out when I needed it. It was so much fun because it unfolded kind of automatically. I felt like Bat Masterson. You are probably too young to know who that was. lolIt sounds like your hubby is doing much better understanding MS now. Good news!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We just got back from some running around, picked up the recumbent bike (hubby's going to put it together tomorrow) did some other stuff, but didn't manage to look at furniture, we were in Best Buy getting an HP Touchpad for hubby and he looked at me and said, "We need to get you home." And then he made me sit down while the clerk in that section checked us out. I was glad I had my cane with me. Tomorrow we're going to and Noble (we promised the kids more books) and maybe we'll get to looking at more couches then. Truthfully, I have no idea what goes into the potato salad - we've never made it here, my mother in law is always the one that makes it, but there isn't much mustard in it - that may be the difference. Hubby's mom is I think 63, but I"m not positive.Tina Tina.... your weekend sounds very full! What kind of potato salad do you make? You said it's the only kind you like so I am curious:) How old is hubby's mom? Bunions look so painful!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Well, tomorrow we're going to pick up the recumbent exercise bike that I picked out, and we're going to go looking at couches and loveseats for the living room to replace what we've got. After today, I learned my lesson, and my cane will be in the backseat while we are out in the heat of the day tomorrow. While we were running errands today, hubby was so taken aback by my reaction to the heat, he forbade me from going to the parade to see our oldest in his high school marching band, which disappointed the oldest greatly. Likely we won't go see the fireworks - too much walking from finding ANY parking space close to downtown, and trying to find a view that isn't obstructed by buildings, and the heat is another matter. Sunday, it's likely that we'll be visiting hubby's mom, who is on bedrest after having essentially reconstructive surgery on her foot (was a bunion removal, but because of how her foot bones were lined up from a previous injury, they had to basically re-align everything in the front half of her foot. She's bored, so she wants to see the kids. Of course, she still thinks the boys are like they were when they were young, and now that they are 16 and 14, no, they probably aren't going to want to sit and chit chat. She thinks she can do it with them, but it never works. We're also planning on hiding how many problems I'm having with this heat from her. It distresses her to no end to hear that I'm ever having problems with my MS, and with her trapped in a bed for god only knows how long, there's no point in telling her. Monday, my brother is having a party at his house for the holiday. I forgot to ask what the (I assume) barbequed meat was going to be, but we're taking potato salad. This recipe is the only type of potato salad I've ever liked. Hubby is going to borrow a huge pot from his parents, and a huge tupperware container, because there are sure to be leftovers. Brother is likely to have some fireworks there, it's going to be hot, but hopefully the house will be shut up with the a/c cranked. What about you?Tina What are you plans for the weekend? Are you going to see a fireworks show anywhere? Are you planning a picnic, or potluck or? I hope your weather will be pleasant:)hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
