Final Itinerary Revision (Maybe)

Hopefully, this will be the final revision on our itinerary, but I

wouldn't bet on it.

The two main changes for now have to do with Darlene requesting

a " quilt day " in Amish country and Bank of America being

unreasonable about extending the expiration date on our Visa card.

Our plans last week were for her to have a few hours at Lancaster,

Pennsylvania to browse around the shops and look at the Amish

quilts. A couple of wrong or missed turns heading west out of

Philadelphia (one of which involved looking at a " Welcome to

Delaware " sign) meant we never made it to Lancaster. As for B of A,

Barb emailed me last week that our new Visa cards had arrived in the

mail. The card in my billfold expires on September 1. I called the

bank service center yesterday from Detroit and got told in no

uncertain terms that on the first, my current card expires and will

NOT be recognized by the automatic card readers. The only way

around it is to have a new card sent to me someplace en route. We

plan to do just that by having Barb mail one of them to her in-laws

in Indiana.

The " quilt day " and a bit of personal downtime after pushing as hard

as we have for the last couple of weeks is going to affect our

schedule for the next 2-3 days and the credit card issue is going to

affect our route of travel after leaving Baltimore. So, at the

moment, this is what it looks like we will be doing.
