Guest guest
Okay, Wednesday, I had a liver panel drawn. Thursday, they called me and while my electrolytes were fine, they said my liver panel was high (I didn't recall a liver panel being drawn, I just remember having thyroid stuff drawn, but that's my faulty memory). They said they wanted to repeat the test next week. So I put off my first Tysabri infusion until after the next blood test (my doc was out of town, so I couldn't ask her if I needed to or not). My question is, can these tests result in a false positive? I'm pretty sure I had the same test done 3 months ago and it was fine. But if it is actually elevated, I'm assuming that puts me out of the running for Tysabri. Which may limit my options even more - I have valve regurgitation in two of my heart valves - mitral and tricuspid - so I don't know if that would kick me out the possibility for Gilenya or Novatrone. I'm not showing any of the symptoms for the liver problems - no jaundicing, no dark colored urine, no loss of appetite except for the time I just get tired of eating. So I'm hoping this is a false positive. Is that even possible? It seems like I'm just having a really bad summer lately.Tina
