Guest guest
Best thing to do is discuss it with your MD. When mom went off, she just stopped taking it. -Barb

Guest guest
Hi My husband was just taken off of lipitor because of the muscle weakness side effect. He went to the doc and he gave him a new Rx Crestor to try and now he has to have more blood work to determine if the levels are still high I think they are called KA??) Anyway the best way is to talk to your doctor first. Betty How to get off lipitor? > > I am interesting in getting off my lipitor. Guest guest
Thank you very much Chelle. I really appreciate it. I had read somewhere that just simply going off is a shock to the heart. Alaska eh? Is it like they show in the movies? Is it hard to get care there? Thanks again for taking the time to respond. laxity On 8/17/04 4:04 AM, " ceda " ceda > wrote: > > Subject: Re: How to get off lipitor? > > I'll see about asking my mom...she was a pharmacy > technician until about a week ago. Guest guest
I am interesting in getting off my lipitor. Does any one know how to do this correctly? Thanks in advance laxity ________________ As with any med, you need to check the info on stopping. Some things you can simply just stop taking. Others, you need to taper off gradually to avoid withdrawal reactions, some of which can be quite serious. I don't have my PDR with me in the RV or I would check it for you. The other thing is, why are you on Lipitor in the first place? If you are on it for high cholesterol, there are other meds on the market that are as effective in reducing cholesterol with no where near the adverse side effects. Personally, I utterly detest and loath Lipitor for what I KNOW it did to my wifes eye, in spite of the lieing sack of shit denials by her doctors. Do we detect a note of bitterness and animosity in my tone here?
