Hi Sherri,

The explanation given to me by three orthopedic doctors is congential

hip dysplasis. My acetabulums (part of the pelvis) were too small

for the head of the femur to articulate properly. This made a lot of

sense to me because my hips have hurt for as long as I can remember,

I never could sit with my legs crossed (Indian style). I have an

exagerrated lumbar curve so I wasn't able to pose properly for ballet

positions. I now compensate so much that my butt sticks out

considerably. Food for thought hope this helps. It sure helped me

to know that no matter what I did I would have the same current

problem.
