Guest guest
If you're delirious, there are at least two of us, because I had the same problem a couple of days ago trying to do a string search for references to CIGNA. You are alone. Then answers are out there. > I can't get the archive search to work. > It only searches a page or two at a time. > I can't get it to work on the old messages. > Am I delirious? > or duh..... Guest guest
Yeah, the old archive problem. Here is the best way I found how to do it:(if anyone knows a better way please let us know). 1. The obvious step: Enter desired-text-string in search-field and click on " Search Archive " . This will search the latest 100-200 messages. It will also clear the search-field. Don't worry about that. 2. Click the " Next " button (NOT " Previous " !)This will search the " next older " 100-200 msgs in the archive. 3. Repeat step 2 till you get tired/satisfied. IMPORTANT. When you get a hit, write down the msg number, but don't click on it to read the msg yet. If you do, you will interrrupt the search and will have to start all over with step 1 at the top of the archive. 4. Access each individual msg found in steps 1-3 by entering its msg no in the msg-number field. Good luck, Ed Mont, rC+ 11/03 > > I can't get the archive search to work. > > It only searches a page or two at a time. > > I can't get it to work on the old messages. > > Am I delirious? > > or duh.....
