Guest guest
I make Steve do the same thing. Hurry up and get past the semi’s!!! they always go over the lines into ours. He doesn’t seem to mind, but most of them are on MY SIDE!! We too had a car accident on the way back from my dad’s burial. It’s been 16 years ago, but I think that one affected me the most. The sound of the other car hitting us was deafening. We have had about 5 car accidents, and that was the one that was the worse. So with that memory and the vision thing it’s no wonder I don’t enjoy going out anymore. The EMT’s said if I hadn’t had my seat belt on it would have killed me. That was scary to hear!Sorry to hear about your accident. Dang semi’s! Luckily, hubby regained control of the car after we hit the guard rail so we didn't get hit by more cars (we spun out, hit the guard rail, spun again, and bounced through 2 lanes of traffic on the Interstate). I'm always freaky when we're besides semis now, and hubby makes sure he gets away from them FAST. In the accident, we were in one of the truck's blind spots, right around the passenger door - too close to be seen in the mirror, not far up enough to be seen by the driver. Hubby's aunt held the funeral while his parents came to pick us up. And hubby was picking glass out of his underwear and shoes as the window exploded. Thank goodness he wears glasses so he didn't have to worry about it getting in his eye.Tina Yes oncoming traffic is bad for me too. I always ask Steve to drive in the slow lane on the right in case we need to swerve to the side. The semi’s are always crossing the lines into our lane too, I think most of my trip is yelling for Steve to “WATCH OUT”!!! He says he’s going to get me blinders to wear. Might help. Lol…. My van has me sitting in the center of it and its not too bad now. I still take valium before we go anywhere tho. You know when we use to go to the movies they always had that little car driving fast along a curved road and if I tried to follow it with my eyes it made me dizzy. The times it didn’t I proclaimed it was a “good” day! Hugs, Jackie
