Did you know Cohen is a writer of mystery novels? I have heard he often incorporates MS into his books. Unfortunately, I got one of his books but I just couldn't staying interested in it and never finished it. Has anyone else read his books? Perhaps I should give the books another chance. Rapidly Progressive MS often does end in death, and a numberof complications can take the life of a person wMS. Both myfather, who had MS (lived to 98) and I have battled vertigo--I moresuccessfully due to more modern medications--and falling has often been the cause of death, especially if the person had lostconsiderable vision. I think of Meredith Viera's husband, Rich-ard Cohen, who uses a cane and is legally blind. I saw them inter-viewed together on the new show hosted by . Fascinating. Meredith has cut back on her career to en-joy her husband and kids. He had a very positive attitude, des-pite his impairment. They do live in New York, not Canada.Love to you all,nSubject: Morbid questionTo: MSersLife Date: Wednesday, December 7, 2011, 8:03 PM

Nope so I'll have to go look. Another thing I don't understand is how someone can die from ms? Can it affect our breathng or ? I just thought it could be involved if the autoimmune theory is correct. And then we're more susceptible to other things. I've noticed several obits saving 'passed away due to ms' or 'a long battle with ms' and I don't understand.

And then I remember the people who Kevorkian aided. Didn't some of them have ms? ... hugs,Cait

High School Classmate with MS passed away

Learned this morning that a school classmate (one year older) who had MS passed away Dec 1. The obituary doesn't give a specific cause of death but does say he had MS and that he had moved in with his sister last Spring due to his declining health. I didn't know him well and hadn't been in contact for decades. But, still, some sad news. Seems to be several people from my relatively small home town (pop. ~ 10,000 when I lived there) who have/had MS. Dan U dao_nguu@...
