Guest guest
From: concreteangel Definitely would find out if it is covered in homeowners insurance- gosh I should think it would be- when you find out let the rest of us know ? ************************************** Well, the insurance is $2.75 for every $100 of the chair's worth. For us, that's just too much to pay right now. That is broad insurance, covering theft, breakage, damage caused should he run into someone or something, fire, all the usual stuff. Homeowners will only pay a portion if it is stolen from the home or car, with out the extra separate coverage. Guess we'll just have to chance it for now. Guest guest
Wow- geesh- sorry to hear that- and yep I'd chance it too- I do think- unless maybe some financial help is available for that- Ive been going through all Michigan help and have so far received a few things but I live alone and no income- ( alone with my boys )- anyhow- home heating credits, medicaid, 10 percent or so savings on phone bills and services thru SBC- FIA of course , been on that , am sure that will lower though when SSI comes thru ( still have heard no further from them )- gonna keep digging, if not something I need- someone around me may- my gramps for instance. Maybe that funding that paid for the chair would provide that? You most likely already looked into that though? How's Dylan today? Still not coming out of the house- mercy I wish I could get out more- I cant imagine being his age and being stuck inside so much- In my prayers as Always ---------- Love TJ Re: w/chair for Dylan/ insurance From: concreteangel Definitely would find out if it is covered in homeowners insurance- gosh I should think it would be- when you find out let the rest of us know ? ************************************** Well, the insurance is $2.75 for every $100 of the chair's worth. Guest guest
Cindy, PLEASE don't take just one quote look around and ring companies, if they can cover sporting equiptment they can cover necessary medical equiptment without breaking the bank. I mean just ring around and try to get a better price. It is like insuring a car. I mean surely you can get cheaper cover ax I think it is important to have it covered simply becasue it is so expensive and so necessary. Good Luck in finding cheaper insurance. Surely you can get help as well from somewhere to help you pay for this insurance for your son's power chair?? Good luck Sharon > > From: concreteangel > > > Definitely would find out if it is covered in homeowners insurance- gosh I should think it would be- when you find out let the rest of us know ? > ************************************** > Well, the insurance is $2.75 for every $100 of the chair's worth.
