Guest guest
Some on this board may remember Voelz, who completed the Death Ride, a strenuous bicycle ride in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, 8 months after having a right BHR a couple years ago. Saturday I completed the same 129 mile, 16,000 feet of climbing, ride, 8 1/2 months post-op with left and right Conserve Plus's. I recovered from two complications: femoral nerve palsy and heterotopic ossification from my right hip resurf Feb. 03 (the H.O. limited hip flexion to about 65 deg. and required excision last October; I also had my left hip resurfed during the same surgery). No pain on the ride from my hips or devices. On the other hand, the rest of my body was complaining ;-) Another stat of " hey, look what we can do " . And, for those who have asked, " What can go wrong with resurfacing? " , I'm proof you can recover from two serious complications.
