Guest guest
Hi Gang, I understand the dissection of the Gluteus Maximus lengthwise, following the femur. But can anyone tell me where the underlying " short rotators " are released? I am curious if they are released near the trochanter, or at some medial point. Maybe one of you Doctors knows how the complete release and reattachment game is played. I feel a pain deep in the hip when I walk: it occurs as my leg moves behind me during the step process. And the " clunk " is still there. It feels like there is a rubber band in between the acetabular cup and the femoral head....you know how rubber bands are kinda rectangular, and if you rub them between your hands they kinda go thunk- thunk....thunk-thunk....it's kinda like that. I wonder if Dr. Amstutz lost his lucky rubber band from his wrist during my procedure. I really do have too much time on my hands...
