Jo, I've had that yawning problem most of my life, of the jaw

dislocating and just learned how to yawn 'smaller' and try to

suppress opening the mouth very wide for any reason. I can make my

jaw pop loud, sometimes when I eat someone sitting next to me will

hear it and talk about it. I never considered this as an EDS thing--

but anything popping out of joint sounds suspicious. I have

problems with my hips possibly sliding out of jooint while sleeping,

like I think I read happended to you, Jo, or someone last week they

were mentioning it. I have to put a think pillow between the knees

while sleeping on my side to prevent them from doing that. I was

told that on my mother's side of the family that our hips have a

problem where the head of the femur is too small, so they slip out

of joint easily. The doc told me my head of the femur was of a

normal size; so if they slip out it's because of the ligaments then,

right? These two things might help a doctor consider a clinical

diagnosis of EDS, since I have so many of the same symptoms my son

(and EDS'er) does.

By the way- Jo -I hope you are feeling better soon..sounds like you

need some interventions right away...I have experince with nasty

sinus infections..but the ear--that must be so miserable~~

((((hugs!!!))))
