Mina- I had my hip resurfed over Christmas break. I was out of school

on the 13th of Dec, got my hip done the 17th, and by the 8th of Jan I

was crutching around campus. Three weeks after surgery. But I didn't

go back to demolishing walls and toting heavy objects until about 3-4

months afterward. And the muscle issue(condition of my atrophied

muscles) kept me pacing myself from there.

Mina,

No two people are alike, and so no two recoveries are alike.

There are many factors that can affect your recovery. Some folks

just seem to hit the ground running right after surgery, others take

much, but most seem to be right in the middle somewhere. I was on

crutches for about 3-4 weeks, went back to work at 5 weeks. I got

myself into pretty good shape pre-op, but I still am taking longer

to progress than some of my peers. There is no " schedule " for

recovery, but from what I have read, my own is about average. It

does seem that the BHR people are up and around a little sooner than

the C+ or Corin people. Good luck with your decision.
