Guest guest
, I didn't say anything previous to your posting about your break up with Jim. I wasn't sure of what to say so I didn't want to say the wrong thing. I know how hard it is to go through a break up. Me and my guy broke up when I got really sick back in October. That was the hardest time for me and I eventually wound up in the hospital. But I pulled through with the help from my family. I'm sorry that you have to go through this terrible time and I hope that things get easier for you. -. Checking in > Hi all, > > I survived my first weekend since the break-up. Guest guest
Just like that song Best Friend by Toy Box...you are NEVER alone when you have friends. I pray you " lean " on us, your Lupie Family, when you are in need. I'm VERY happy you are going through your " grieving " process the healthy way. Maybe your relationship was too much stress and since Lupus flares with stress this may be a " God send " to you. You have to learn to what your body is telling you. Everything happens for a reason. I don't know your situation but I know that you are a great guy and if he can't see that then that's his problem, not yours. If you ever need to talk email me at AuroraSkyward@.... Stand tall and don't be blue. Take care. Blessings, In California > Hi all, > > I survived my first weekend since the break-up. My brother came down > to San Diego to be with me. Guest guest
Hi , I’m not really sure what kind of advice you were looking for, but here’s mine: Do something you have always wanted to do but never had the time or energy for. For me that would be a trip to somewhere that I could take terrific pictures. But that’s going to something different for everyone in the group. Between my health, and the fact that my husband never made it this far – I’m so glad we chose to spend a good portion of our retirement money to travel in our 50s. We saw parts of India, Africa, Germany, England, and much of the US. I’ll still travel as my health permits, but I don’t have the energy or stamina to hike and haul camera equipment around like I did. And Dave wouldn’t have been able to go at all. Nita =============================== So, just wondering... is there anything else you all think I should be doing if I'm feeling fine for now? Guest guest
Hi Nita, Thanks, that's good advice. Part of the reason I joined the Obama campaign last year as a field organizer was just this kind of reasoning. I was bored in my old position and decided life was to short not to take advantage of such a great (historical) opportunity - especially since I've been feeling ok. Still being in my 30s makes me want to take advantage of stuff like this. On the medical side of things, do you or others think having a annual check up with my Hep. Doc with a MRCP (and annual colonoscopy with my gastro Doc) is suffient? I've heard people talk about building realionships with transplant centers but I'm not sure I should wait on that. I guess town Hospital is a transplant center, so maybe my annual checkups suffice for now. Thanks all!
