I was diagnosed in Alaska and had a wonderful doctor in Anchorage - Lynn

Hornbein, MD. She was fantastic! On the other hand, I had a whole lot of

rotten docs there too, but I am finding the same thing here in Washington

too. I was in AK for 10 years. My parents stayed for 14 before moving down

Washington.

As for how Alaska is in movies, there are so MANY movie/tv mistakes on how

they depict Alaska. It's a wonderful place and I still miss it at times,

but I sure don't miss the winter aches and pains.
