I wanted to let those that knew him that O'Brien has passed away.

According to what I've read, he was killed in an ATV accident in Montana on June

7, 2012. Mike had a long career in Texas, working in Abilene (AEMS and R/M),

Lampasas County EMS, Callahan County EMS (Clyde, Texas), Careflite Ground,

Arlington EMS, and MedStar. He then did some off-shore medic gigs, moved to

Montana where he worked in EMS, fire and police work. (I guess it's kinda

obvious where we lost touch for a while. If I missed anywhere, please feel free

to add in.)

As far as I know, his service will be in Abilene, but I don't know any more than

that. Far too young...he was a great man and an awesome paramedic. And an

important part of many lives, including mine. Please keep him and his family in

your thoughts and prayers.

(I realize he would probably yell at me for making a fuss...but since when did I

ever worry about that? RIP Mike...you are missed...gentle journey, my friend.)

It is sad to lose another of our family. Our thoughts go with his family and
