Besides, it's unlikely you'd be in London. They don't have a Motel 6 there.

Was it London, Texas (population 180) or London, Arkansas?

I can't see heading to London California, Minnesota or Ohio. Those

places have standards.

Ehhhh, it's ok,,,it happens. I would suggest a stronger password though. We had

a rash of this on Facebook not too long ago. I would suggest a combo of letters

numbers, and at least one symbol. Doesnt need to be fancy.....say your pass was

bunnyrabbit,...

just change it to bunnyrabbit + your area code + a symbol. IE;

bunnyrabbit281&.....some number that is easy to remember for you.

or bunnyrabbit&281. Most hackers do not know you personally, unless they have

been phishing your info. they can look at your FB acct, and gather info, from

your page, read your posts to gain info, etc. They may KNOW that your dogs name

is pookie, cause you may have posted it somewhere.  Age, DOB, place of birth,

maiden name, pets names, kids names, etc, are security questions often required

by even financial institutes, but can be found by hackers, in your e-mail and

posts/profiles on social networks,

Anything you have ever posted, is still out there on the net somewhere., with

your name, ISP, or MAC address on it. (identifies the computer you used to make

the post)

Phishers can retrieve this info and use it against you.....but they are still

guessing. Make it hard for them.

Others, sometimes can find a back door, or use a site you visited, to install a

keylogger into your registry. This tracks your keystrokes, and sends the info

back to the author who planted it.

I have not seen one of those in about two years, I run several scans a day for

this stuff, and have recently only found 50-100 adware cookies placed,....after

a session on the net. (these usually only attract other spam, pop ups and cause

your videos to stall and snag and slow your machine down, because they are

eating up system resources.....and they can be placed by seemingly innocent

sites, such as you local TV station)

Usually,....people who actually " Hack " just guess,....either by info found

online, or by " brute force " hacking programs using " word lists " that constantly

bombard the password keyhole with a pre set list of words until it find the

right " Key " . This list may be hundreds of thousands of word and/or word combos

in length. They will also use something known as a

Proxy. It uses a different server, than their own ISP. Most will use a proxy

list, with a program that disconnects from one server and connects with another,

in a matter of seconds.  It can show that they are in Houston one minute, then

Moscow the next minute, and so on.

The best defense is a good solid password, that cannot be easily guessed, even

if a program ran a dictionary against it. This should include at least 6-8

characters, with a combination of alpha numeric, and at least one symbol.
