Hi all,

For those of you who get this more than once, it means you're in more than one

of my groups. Now on to the update.

I had the pacemaker put in this morning. I was totally unsedated, which was

freaky. Since i had an allergic reaction last time and they didn't know if it

was the fentynol or the versed they just gave me morphine so i was alert

throughout the whole thing. The lidocaine didn't work very well. I've read

studies about how patients with EDS who are given lidocaine it can be less

effective i must be one of those lucky ones. I could feel him stitching me up

but didn't say anything and just breathed through the pain since the lidocaine

wasn't working and he have given me probably 12 shots of it already.

I'm sore but doing okay. They gave me a tylenol 3 afterwards and i started

laughing at them, it didn't help and they moved on to morphine. And they sent

me home with darvocet. I'm dong okay but starting to get concerned.

They put a clear plastic covering like a bandage over it and then a pressure

dressing, the pressure dressing came loose so i looked at it and the clear

bandage is half way filled with blood. I plan on calling the nurse first thing

in the morning. Other than that things are going good. I have my arm in a

sling for the next few days because movement of the arm can cause the leads to

come out of place.
