Guest guest
What did you base you decision when picking your surgeon to perform the resurfacing proceedure. With the new HIPA rule its almost impossible to secure former patients tesimonials of their proceedure. Were you able to get a history of procedures performed by the surgeon regarding competentency. Also when did you decide it was the right time to resurface. I know everyone is different but is feeling bad 50% of the time enough to take the risk of surgery. I asked my doctor what type of therapy would be required after surgery. He said just walk. Is that correct? As of now I feel I'll be losing more than pain by not approaching this responsibly. My surgeon has my permission to give my name and contact info to anyone who would like to contact me. Nearly every time I went in pre-op, he had a happy patient tell me their story, and did the same for me (had me talk to other pre-op hippies) after my surgeries. I'm happy to do it, as I am not in any hurry when I go in for my follow-ups. I chose Dr. Boyd because he was the only one in the state (still is) doing the procedure, and I knew I would have less of a fight with my insurance company if it was done in-state even though it was closer to go out of state (across the river to Vancouver WA). HOWEVER, if I had not felt so comfortable with him, I would have attempted to go elsewhere. As it was, I felt so comfortable with him that if he had asked me to be operated on that day, I just might have done it! What surgeon are you looking at using? Chances are that someone currently on this list has used him... Cindy C+ 5/25/01 and 6/28/01 Dr. Boyd
