Guest guest
I got my first ECA certificate in 1980, first EMT in 1981 and with the exception of about six to 10 months when my EMT expired (back in 1985 as I was transitioning from living in Oklahoma back to Texas, I've been certified the whole time. When I got my ECA certification back, I tested with the Houston Fire Department on January 28, 1986 - the day the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded. I think I took my EMT that spring or fall to get back to EMT level. I'm willing to do what you need. We're looking for individuals who have been in EMS for at least 20 years and would be willing to answer some questions and send in some new and vintage photographs of themselves! Here's the kicker for this time: I'll need the questions and photos by January 27 to make it into the March/April issue. If you are interested, please email me. I will respond in the order received. I sent out this message about two years ago and have been working through the responses I got; unfortunately, by the time I got to some of the emails (taken in order), email addresses had changed. So if you've already responded, I apologize. Please resend an email stating your interest. Guest guest
, I started in EMS in 1970. Became an EMS administrator in 1971 and still hold that position. As to the rest, I don't mind answering questions but No photos or other attention. I now value the little privacy I have. Guest guest
, I became involved with EMS in 1970. I became an EMS administrator in 1971 and helped with the establishment of many EMS systems in this part of Texas. I am still active in the EMS field. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have but as to photos and any other attention, I'll pass. I have reached that point in life that I value my privacy and simply don't have a need or desire to be more public in any way. I don't mind if you list my name and years in EMS but otherwise I don't desire to be singled out or honored in any way. Thank you for your time, Smart, LP #10394 County EMS Administrator, Karnes County EMS From: texasems-l [mailto:texasems-l ] On Behalf Of kelly.harrell@...
