Cindy, one of the things I take that is NOT a prescription, is Colon

Cleanse. I take one each morning and one each night. You can get it

at GNC and we have a No Name Nutrition here in Omaha that is cheaper.

I also take stool softeners, but I'm thinking that the pain pills and

anything like Tylenol etc. tend to cause constipation. The Colon

Cleanse is a conglomerate of herbs, and it has worked well for me for

years. The only rx that I take for constipation is Zelnorm (pill

form) and Miralax (powder). I take two Zelnorm a day and use the

powder only when needed, as it can cause diarrhea if you take too

much. Hope this helps.

The new higher doses have made it impossible for Dylan to go

naturally. Right now I do energy work and manual massage on his

belly, he takes a stool softener (RX) , I limit the laxative use to 2

x a week, and he gets an enzyme pill everyday. Do you find that the

fiber stuff helps? Forget trying the diet route. I push water as far

as I can. He's a stubborn kid that WILL NOT eat what he doesn't

like. He eats very little anyway. I'd like to see if there seems to

be a trend towards the laxatives, the fiber, stool softeners or what?

I don't want to see the enema's as the only choice.
