Guest guest
There is just a bit of a vent before I get to the nitty gritty. ;-) First of all, I know it's time to take this to the doctor tomorrow, even though it's Sunday. I wanted to take a holiday from doctor appointments, tests, blood draws, and surgeries (forever!), but am resigned to deal with it now. My history with my physical disabilities is, well, let me say that if I got paid an hourly wage for the time spent driving, waiting, seeing doctors for the three of us, it would be about a 20-30 hour week. Needless to say this just has to stop. I sometimes tend to research things way into the night until I am sick from the lack of sleep. It occured to me that this group here are very well informed of a variety of maladys that are related to or occur in conjunction to EDS. So I thought I would throw this out to see if anyone else has had any similar experience or can send me to the right resource. At first I thought I had a virus, like a cold or something that would pass after a couple of weeks. I felt tired and had a small sinus infectious flare-up that I get occasionally. There's a long history of surgeries and infections, so I know when it's sinus or any complications of it. I think I can rule that part of the body out for this latest development. These lymph nodes in my neck came about two months ago, the size of marshmallows that are firm, yet cushiony. They grow larger during the evening and when I have a fever. I gave up trying to take my temp because it doesn't normally register on the thermometer. My skin is hot and clammy alternating with cold chills. I drink lots of fluids to make sure I don't get dehydrated. With sinus infections I can get delerious and dizzy--not happening with this problem, which is why I am not bothered too much by this physically as much as why the lymph nodes are large so long. I was sure that the lymph nodes would have been gone by now as noone has ever been concerned if I pointed out the ones I've had in the past, but they were always little and hard, and hurt. These don't hurt but there is a small achiness about my neck in general when I turn my head. I've had chronic fatigue for years, but now I tend to take up to two unscheduled naps a day. I am just 46 years old recently. If anyone has experince with this kind of thing, please let me know. ~Duv
