Americare EMS EMT Arrested on Duty

This story is on KHOU.com CBS 11 in Houston. What I have herd is that he was on

duty with Americare EMS the Polk County 911 provider when the Polk County

Sheriffs Office arrested him at Americare's Corrigan Station. He is also the

Fire Chief of the Pumpkin/Evergreen VFD in San Jacinto County. This is

embarissing not only to Polk County but to all of EMS in texas.

CORRIGAN, Texas – The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested a San Jacinto County

fire chief Saturday on accusations of solicitation of a minor.

Deputies said officers arrested Marcotte about 3:30 a.m. at the Americare

EMS Station, where he volunteers.

According to authorities, a 16-year-old girl said Marcotte obtained her cell

phone number from her Facebook page and continued to send obscene text messages.

Marcotte also tried convincing her on numerous occasions to meet him for sexual

purposes.

He was being held at the Polk County Jail.

Another reason to limit the information you (and your children/family)

place on social networking sites. (Not that her putting her phone number

on Face book in any way excuses the actions of the accused.) Some

information just doesn't need to be shared with the whole wide word.
