Guest guest
...So glad to see you back nne but so very sorry about everything that's been happening to you. I watched the floods on CNN and it was unbelievable. But to have stalkers and that slumlord on top of everything else! You'd think people would pull together and help each other at times like that. No wonders your ms is acting up . I sure hope your fall wasn't too bad and hope life gets back to some semblance of normal very soon ... hugs, Cait hi Been awhile... a couple years but Im still around! :-) so is the Monster! The 'other' marianne...lolYeah, cannot go even 6 mo without falling not good. This heat is really kickin my Monster awake.. and darn it...Im ready for a cool spell.Im in iowa where we have been in level 1 alert for 3 mo now any time any day can be ordered to evacuate. FLOOD. We are 6 ft abv flood stage that s 29ft we are at 35. So..all my stuff has been in storage 3 mo only a tv, bed micro and fridge. The deep freezer in the garage I checked today and 250 freezer containers all ruined today somehow the freezer got unplugged recently so had to toss all that hard worked tomatoes, pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, salsa and more.. so hard for me to process all that last fall and to lose it really upsetting not to mention having to clean it all up today in the 105 heat!Livn on fixed income and now having to pay for storage, not having my stuff here is drivin me wacko.. I hate it! This can go on til winter! Then my son who is on his 4th tour 3 were iraq this one afghanistan is coming home thankgiving, ASSumed that he could just have my house and my bmw when he comes home as I told him when the flood takes the house Im gone. Had to get a 5th wheel so I am not homeless. Its nothing fancy was a fixer upper but better than homeless. So for 3 mo been moving my stuff out rapidly , cleaning out 10yrs of stuff from my house, still having to do this all in 100degree temps.. then add on top of this being harassed by stalking neighbors who I had to enlist the help of the police since the slumlord who didnt care about anything but his rent...nor his cease and desist order i served him with...that kept me awake at all hours..for the past 6 months.. they harassed us all hours every day! It was terrible. It really took a hugh toll on my MS! Then having to find a place to stay with the 5th wheel, since there is a limit of 14 days in camping areas that was stressful...Omg it never ends. Oh then with allt he moquitos from the flood, well, I grab the bug killer I thought well the bottle I used was weed n feed well killed some of my hibiscus and other plants how nice.. oh yes.. and my green turf grass. oh it just keeps on going. This year oh my my.. its been just wonderful.I then as I type this see the news and wonder will we get our disablity checks in August or not. that will merely top the cake. I will just stay in bed.. what can I do. lolI have been very sick lately., Fell last week while watering the lawn .. and my gardens. yeah in a flood and have to water go figure. lolWell, life in Iowa simply stated SUX!So. Life is what you make it. I wake up each day and CHOOSE to make it my BEST day. I am grateful for my central air that keeps me cool and grateful that the natl guard is out watching the levees at night as this fool town is lame and we would have been flooded by now. I live 8 blocks from the casinos (missouri river) my elevation is the same as the river that means the water is 6 feet higher than my yard. therefore I would be swimming. We are not allowed to have our boats in the water if it floods as its considered part of the missouri river and its illegal to be in the MO river now. So.. yep. my stuf is all 45 min away.. exept for miminal things.Flood insurance will not pay for this as it is ManMade from the army corp so everyone even if you had flood ins is messed over. meaning screwed. So.. yep. As the motto goes.. for iowa.. Fields of opportunities... well its more like rivers of opportunites now...nice to be back and sorry to be so long.. but short update..lol
