Almost embarrassed to post, it's been so long! The end of July (my oldest daughter's 32nd birthday, to be exact) I started Gilenya. Very cool, yet weird, to not be giving myself injections. An unfortunate side effect is that it lowers your ability to fight infection and I immediately got my youngest son's bronchitis. We're both much better except for the occasional cough. Had a recheck with my PCP yesterday and she prescribed an inhaler which I feel is really helping. We adopted a dog and a kitten last weekend! Kind of a long story - we volunteer with GSD Rescue and I was called to evaluate a dog at the local shelter. Turns out that dog wasn't there anymore but they had picked up a stray they wanted me to look at. Very

shy/scared 4 year old female who I felt would easily come out of her shell when placed in a home. In the process of pulling the GSD and transporting her to foster care a co-volunteer asked if I'd be interested in a six week old kitten they'd found under the hood of a car. Our 12 year old cat has been very lonely since we had to put his brother down this past June . . . so that's how Carly became a member of our family. Eight year old granddaughter Hailey couldn't stop talking about Tasha (the GSD) and my family confessed they missed having a GSD since our old one died over a year ago. Long story short - we brought Tasha home last Sunday and she is blossoming!Other than that it's been the usual back-to-school craziness To: Group <mserslife >Sent: Thursday, September 29, 2011 11:10 PMSubject: It's update time folks!

German Shepherd Dog Carly (kitten) has no fear - pouncing on the 125 lb Newfs and eating out of the same bowl as Tasha.Tasha conquered her fear of slippery floors yesterday by doing laps around the house - family room, kitchen, dining room, living room, hall, and back to family room! I'm so proud of her! It's really chilly/Fall-like today. I'm going to have to bundle up for Hailey's soccer game later! We've been able to have our AC off for a while, thank goodness. It was very humid, but the temps were in the upper 70sTo: "MSersLife " <MSersLife >Sent: Saturday, October 1, 2011 12:20 AMSubject: Re: It's update time folks! MAUREEN
