Certification(s):             Position requires EMT-Paramedic certification in good standing with Texas Department of Human Service. Requires current: ACLS, ITLS, PALS, GEMS, CPR and prefer current certification through UMBC, CCP or FPC as a critical care Paramedic Skills Set:                    Exceptional Communications Skills, Task Management, Labor/Employee Relations, Fiscal Responsibility, Clinical Excellence, Quality Assurance and Customer Service  DESCRIPTION:                                  \                                         \                                              Plan, develop and implement policies and procedures for the Clinical Department of NorthStar EMS with the guidance of the Executive Director and in accordance with Board directives and the Corporation Charter. Candidate shall (1) govern established standards of case and quality assurance protocol, (2) provide programs to improve clinical quality and safety, (3) plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate company’s efforts, (4) design and implement a clinical peer review process, and (5) manage Medical Control Supervision to achieve clinical effectiveness through the identification and promotion of best practices that ensure clinical effectiveness and efficiency.  Candidate shall work with clinical and administrative leadership, including the Medical Director, to ensure compliance with all industry regulatory agencies and any association with quality improvement and the monitoring of clinical outcomes.
