Dental pain sucks, especially with all our other stuff. But yeah, without cleaning, meds eventually take a toll on our teeth. Well, I didn't do anything about the dry mouth caused by my psych meds, and by the time I got into another dentist (we owed too much to our old dentist and he didn't take our new dental insurance), after something like 5 or 6 root canals or pulled teeth prior, my new dentist told me for Medicaid to cover it, essentially I had to get all my teeth pulled and get dentures. Wish I had taken better care of them. I hope your dentist appointment goes well, it sounds like you need antibiotics, and possibly a root canal. I hope you feel better soon!Tina Hey everyone,…….first of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the September birthdays! Second WELCOME to the newcomers, I’m Jackie from Oregon and have had MS since 1981. But not dx’ed until 1994.Thirdly, I have got the mothers of all mothers of tooth pain and the whole right side of my face, ear, neck and jaw is so inflamed. It started at the beginning of this week and I thought it would resolve itself by now, but apparently it’s not going to. So I have a dentist appt. tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it as I am a big time dental phobic, and the last time I’ve been to one was 15 years ago. I’ve been lucky from then to now, making sure I flossed, brushed, and swished, but I should have known I still needed checkups. L So wish me luck it’s not too bad and won’t require a lot of return visits! Congratulations to all who had things happen in their lives this week that were good!
