Guest guest
Hi everyone I've read most of these posts and I think I have only one major concern as I prepare to have my rt hip resurfaced in July. How important is it really to stay flat on one's back during the first few weeks post-op? I can fall asleep on my back if tired enough but I don't know how I'll stop tossing and turning as usual, unless the pain wakes me up (but I guess I'll be on pain-killers anyway). So far, the top techniques appear to be to drink lots of water so you have to get up during the night and can readjust upon getting back to bed, and using body pillows to jam yourself in one position. Can I do damage if left to my own devices re sleeping positions? Normally I sleep face down in a bit of a swastika shape. The good news is that one of our public broadcasters in Australia shows old black and white movies all night long. Might be catching a few of those, I think.
