Guest guest
Hey - Hi all of you new surface hippies! I don't know if anyone in my generation is still on here, but I had my resurface done 9/11/03 by Dr. Gross - He is the best! I did however encounter problems -- with my sciatic nerve damaged as a result of the surgery -- so I have a paralyzed right lower leg and foot - -in a brace until it grows back - thank God it does. it will take some time -- nothing yet. I can't lift that foot - it drags -- " foot drop " it is called. ANYWAY -- I ran today for 30 minutes - and walked the way back -- I have no idea of the distance but I used to run 6 miles a day 6 days a week for about 15 years - so I guess it was maybe 2 miles max. I know some say this is a NO _- but I have put on 20 # since surgery -- I can't get rid of it -- I need to. Anyone else running on their new hip? The hip feels fine - the foot is numb and my back hurts tonight but otherwise I don't know why I shouldn't run a couple or more days a week -- I know this will help with my weight. Thanks -- I hope you all are as happy as I am with your new hip. I love it! Margo ---- from Fargo, ND
