We're talking about being shot AT, not being killed. Two separate statistics.

And even then, it has to be averaged out per capita. I'm sure that Bob Kellow

remembers bullet holes in ambulances and stations (Kellis Street) as far back as

1977.

I always found it humorous that my family worried more about me as a cop than in

fire or EMS. All of my injuries and violent encounters came in the latter

fields. Well, unless you count the time I was hit by a car while directing

traffic.
