I remember reading about someone on TH that put too much stuff in the bag and the walker tipped over. Naturally the phone and the reacher were both in the bag, so she just stood there and cried until her husband came home. If I had to do it over again and had the space, I think I would rent a hospital bed. I found the hospital bed to be quite comfortable, an my own bed to be absolutely miserable for the first few days, then it improved steadily after that. The recliner was invaluable because my own bed was so awful to start with. The first thing mom and I did after the first night home was buy extra pillows. I didn't get a body pillow, but it was hugely long, and I generally started the night with my newly operated leg on it, another tucked under my knees, another at my side. I sure missed that trapeze--being able to pull myself up to get more comfortable was heavenly compared to the squirming pain that turning over in bed was. I had no wedge from hell to deal with though, so that was a blessing. Cindy C+ 5/25/01 and 6/28/
