Be careful if you do that though. I remember reading about someone on TH

that put too much stuff in the bag and the walker tipped over. Naturally

the phone and the reacher were both in the bag, so she just stood there and

cried until her husband came home.

If I had to do it over again and had the space, I think I would rent a

hospital bed. I found the hospital bed to be quite comfortable, an my own

bed to be absolutely miserable for the first few days, then it improved

steadily after that. The recliner was invaluable because my own bed was so

awful to start with. The first thing mom and I did after the first night

home was buy extra pillows. I didn't get a body pillow, but it was hugely

long, and I generally started the night with my newly operated leg on it,

another tucked under my knees, another at my side. I sure missed that

trapeze--being able to pull myself up to get more comfortable was heavenly

compared to the squirming pain that turning over in bed was. I had no

wedge from hell to deal with though, so that was a blessing.
