Guest guest
I am 19 days post op and I realize it was the trivial things that seemed to bother me the most with ROM issues and OA pain. For many of us with this condition you understand how difficult it is to sit through a movie, baseball game or other sporting event. A big part of the reason I took action on this was to keep up with my two little boys. Last night I took them to a movie and sat through the entire film without thinking about my hip. Prior to surgery I was good for about 15 minutes at a time in a theater. This evening I drove my car to the T station, rode the T and took my kids to Fenway to watch the Red Sox beat up on the Toronto Blue Jays (sorry Canadian friends). If anyone has ever sat through a game in the middle of a section at Fenway you will know what a breakthrough this is. I watched nine innings with my kids and never had that sharp excrutiating pain that comes with hip OA cramped in small hard plastic seats for hours. My new hip passed the Fenway box seats test and I feel like I am ready to take on world. Sorry for the less than serious post, but I am certain many of you will indentify. Good health to all....Go Sox! ....C+ Dr. Amstutz 5/04/
