I'm not a doc, and have no experience of the Revelation system but I

went to the website...and it appears it's just an advanced THR

system, with a different stem shape. If I understand the bio-

mechanics (and it's quite possible I don't) the shape and angle of

the stem are supposed to engage the joint in tension from the IT

bank. The website quotes Wolf's law about bone growth

and " loading " . Might be interesting to see what the Revelation stem

looks like with a big femur head. It doesn't appear that they've

implanted more than about 1200 of them.
