During a flare, the inflammation disrupts the epidermal protective barrier that normally holds water into the skin and keeps it moist. After a flare the inflammation subsides but the barrier has not yet returned to normal, so expect post-flare skin will be drier (little flakes) than normal. Protecting the skin during and after a flare while the barrier heals helps, by using either with a water-based moisturizers containing simethicone, or selected oils. Seborrheic dermatitis has a different appearance and symptoms than you describe. Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD

Guest guest
I am in total agreement Alena. Eliza > I have a question for the moderators. When I am replying to the list messages, the response email is by default addressed to the sender, as opposed to the entire rosacea-suppost group. I am on a couple of other mailing lists that are also hosted by Yahoo; and if I am responding to an email from any of them, my mail is addressed to the entire group and not the individual sender. Therefore, I am assuming that is some default set for each mailing list and I wonder if this is a setting that the list moderators can change (assuming that others would agree, of course). I see that Marjorie frequently reposts emails that go directly to her instead to the group, and I just sent her one such email myself by mistake. > (Of course, on another list I managed to send a very private email to the entire subscriber community ... that's a priceless moment, too!) > > Alena > > >

Guest guest
I'm interested to know what e-mail system you are using Alena. I use MS Outlook at work and Outlook Express at home, and they both give me two buttons to choose from - Reply and Reply All, fairly intuitive (unlike most MS stuff!). Reply All has a slight disadvantage in that it wants to post the message to the Group and to the Sender - so if I remember I delete the Sender, who is going to get the message to the Group anyway. If anyone gets two e-mails from me I've forgotten to do this! Maybe you can change the defaults on your e-mail server? Barry Question I have a question for the moderators. I use MS > Outlook at work and Outlook Express at home, and they both give me two > buttons to choose from - Reply and Reply All, Barry, I use Outlook Express at work and Eudora at home, and yes, they do give me the Reply/Reply to All options, the problem is that subconsciously I hit just Reply and if I don't catch it, then the email goes only to the original sender. > Maybe you can change the defaults on your e-mail server? This has nothing to do with any setting on the mail server. (None of has access to tweak the setting on a mail server, unless you run your own ). I am positive it is nothing on my side, because as I said, posts from other mailing lists (also ) default the respons to the mailing list, and the individual. Also, at home I can get online either using a dialup through my work or a regular ISP through which I have my personal account. In either case, the mail is handled by a different mail server (again confirming it's got nothing to do it). Never mind, it is not that important. Thanks for trying to help, though. Guest guest
I've had this too. Once it went from my left arm to my right leg then up my side down my right arm and up to my face. It scared the s**t out of me. I freaked out and didn't sleep the rest of the night. I can blame the provigil for the panic. I've had it in both arms at times and in my face and back. If I extend my arm it goes numb. Not even hyperextending my elbow...just reaching for the radio while I'm driving. I always figured this was neurological, but I don't worry about it. Question Ok, question. I want to know if anyone has had this happen or am I just odd. I know there is a restless leg syndrome, I seem to have it in my left arm, at least that's what it feels like and it also hurts through the whole arm. It just started within the last couple nights when I've went to bed. It's really very irritating and I hate that feeling it gives me, it almost puts me into an anxiety attack! It's not like I was laying on that arm and it aches from my shoulder to my fingers! Like right now!! Has anyone had this happen? Just curious. Thanks!! Guest guest
Dana, There are some nights my arms will twitch and feel restless more than my legs. I have been woken up my restless arm sensations. I think I get the feeling like once a week or so. Shandi > Dana Writes, > > > OK, question. I want to know if anyone has had this happen or am I > > just odd.
