Hi ,

I get tightness in my face with pain. It's probably radiating from a

trigger point but I can't figure out which one. You can see my cheek moving

up and down if I have a spasm. I get some tingling there but not very often.

On occasion, my lower face will tingle, I've just assumed it's the

fibro.

During my latest doctor's visit, he told me that the most

recent info he had about Fibro was that it only " hit " the

positive blood types and mostly the Type A personalities.

Ok...I'm an O+ with an A-type personality. How many of us are both? Verrrry

Interrrresting! Do tell.

I also have the tingling. When it happens it's on onside of my face and it's the

entire side. From the top of my head down to my chin. I started having problems

before I had fibro though. It started 2 years before that when I started having

chronic migraines. I notice it happens before and after a migraine. So I am not

sure what it happens.

Well I'm O neg. so that couldn't be true about the blood type, but I did hear

that only redheaded people got fibro and I do have red hair. I think if any

thing was causing this it would be the type A personalities. Audie

O positive, here.

That's a new one for me... But that one doesn't fit for me; I have brown

hair and none of the people I've encountered who have FMS are redheads.

I have very dark brown hair. My blood type is O+ and I am so not a type A

personality. While at work I did preform above 100% until I first hurt my

shoulder, but it didn't consume me like most type A personalities do. Then after

the car accident, I knew that performing over 55% was expecting too much. Don't

get me wrong with what you all were saying. Type A personalities could be the

main population of fibromyalgia patients, but if so I am not in that percentile.

=-) Plus, I think it has alot to do with " how " the fibro exposed it's self. Like

myself, I had 2 tramatic physical events happen within a month of eachother.

There is still so much research has yet to unlock, but what they have has helped

so much. I find it a shame that doctores belittle their patients and force them

to admit that it is all in their head. Those doctors in my opinion should have

their license taken away. Being a doctor requires integrety and respect for the

patient. Most people really hate go to the doctor and when you do go it's a

extreamly stressful time anyway without having the doctor act like a jerk. Ok,

I've been too chatty today. Everyone take care and have a wonderful evening!

It is my opinion that Fibro knows no boundaries. I believe that I acquired

fibro after my brain surgery. It is also suspected to be acquired after

trauma. Accidents know no type specific. It is undescriminitory.

No, I have never hear of fibro in the face but I have seen Bell's Palsy in

the face as my husband has had it. I would check with your doctor and also

see if the side of your face feels numb. It can pull your mouth and the side

of your face and can look like a stroke although it isn't.

Take care,

Irene
