Guest guest
How can we be professionals when we (providers and DSHS alike) allow EMS companies to be certified with the names they are applying. Today I saw: -The " Meat " Wagon In the past I have seen: -Wheel Care EMS -Z Best EMS -Medi Taxi and the list goes on and on. When are we going to put a stop to this? The Houston Chronicle wrote a scathing article Sunday on private EMS providers defrauding Medicare. I believe the numbers were 333 of 386 providers in County alone were under investigation by CMS last year. We must police ourselves! We must put a stop to this practice or we will never see an increase in public respect or pay. Just sayin. Matt
Guest guest
Matt, I completely agree, but it would seem that we even have difficulty finding common ground on even simple matters. I order to police ourselves, we all have to agree to conform to a set standard. This, it would seem, has been our greatest downfall.
